Sometimes what makes us insecure and vulnerable becomes the fuel we need to be overachievers. The antidote for a snakebite is made from the poison, and the thing that made you go backward is the same force that will push you forward.

Proverbs 27:8 As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.

Uncommon success will only happen when you are in the right place. Denzel Wahington’s story is a good example of this. He initially enrolled in college to do medicine  but was failing miserably and when his GPA fell to 1.8 he was asked by the University to take some time off. During the summer of that year, while he was working as a counselor at a camp he found his true passion for acting. He then took the decision to give up medicine and enrolled in theatre; the  result is the great success we see today. Uncommon success only happens when you are in the right place. Your right place is the place of your passion, divine assignment or purpose. Another way to look at it is that your right place is the problem you were created to solve in the earth. Uncommon success will only happen in that place.

Proverbs 27:8 liken a man or woman that is not in his/her right place to a bird that wandereth from her nest. Outside of her nest a bird has a low likelihood of success; the same is true of a man or woman that is out of place. The nest for the bird represents the place most conducive to her success. It is in that place that she is operating from a position of strength and in that place success becomes less of a struggle. That was certainly the experience of Denzel Washington. Uncommon success awaits you in the right place. If you are not yet there it is time to reposition.

Life Application: Identify your passion or God given assignment and build your life around that

Prayer: Dear Lord, reposition me if I am out of place. Help me to walk in purpose and live the life that is pleasing to you.
