Make it a Habit Daily To Offer Sweet Worship

Daily Devotional

Job 42:13-14 He had also seven sons and three daughters. 14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.

It is not enough to be able to say that you have spent time in worship, consistently make it sweet worship. As you do God’s response will be to beautify you by adding his blessings and glory.

When the captivity of Job was broken, God restored unto him his 7 sons and 3 daughters. The scripture records the name that he gave to his 3 daughters: he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch. Jemina, the name of the first, means  day by day and Kezia, the second, signifies fragrance. The name of the third Kerenhappuch means beautifier. Putting it all together what the scripture was telling us was that day by day Job offered worship that was like a sweet incense to God and thereby God beutified him and added to him greater glory.

You may have often heard of references being made about people who get rich and switch. That certainly was not Job, he was twice as wealthy as he was before his fall, but his love and fervor for God never changed. He made that evident by making it his habit every day to offer sweet worship to God.

Whether or not you have significant material possession, that is not where the real treasure lies. The real treasure lies in having fellowship with God. Your approach therefore to life should be to make it your priority to offer to him sweet worship daily.

Life Application: Set aside time daily to offer sweet worship to God.

Prayer: Lord, I offer worship right now. I honor you and commit to worshiping you all the days of my life. Here’s my worship, all of my worship. Receive my worship right now, In Jesus name, Amen.
