Genesis 14:14 And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
Success very often will be like a battle, it will be easier getting there if you choose to work with the best. King Chedorlaomer and with him 3 other armies attacked Sodom and Gomorrah and took Lot, Abraham’s nephew, with his family and his possessions. When Abraham heard of this, he armed 318 of his servants that were trained for battle. Ordinarily Abraham’s 318 men would have been no match to go up against 4 armies; nevertheless, he overcame these armies by following 2 principles. Firstly, he assembled his best team consisting of servants that were trained. He obviously had more than 318 servants, but he only took to the battle his best. Secondly, Abraham and his team attacked when the enemy least expected – by night. With that success was his portion. Take time to gather your best team and the path to success will prove less difficult.
