Use Every Resource that God has Given You Wisely

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth…

The mindset that you choose to entertain will determine whether or not you see increase. To create increase, spend less and invest more of the resources that God has given to you.

When it was said in Genesis 1:28: “be fruitful and multiply” an implication of the instruction was to use our time productively to create increase. However, its application is not limited to the use of time; it includes every resource that God has given to us including people and money.  God expects us to use every resource that he gives to us wisely. .

The wrong mindset can prevent the productive utilization of those resources. In cultivating the right mindset we must think more along the line of investing the resources that God has given us and less about spending. Rather than spend time doing any and everything, focus on investing your time to take action to create the future you want.  Similarly, money should be used as a tool to create more and to do that we have to spend less of it with a view to invest more. Too often we get caught up with a spend first mentality that results in resources being depleted, when if we possess the invest first thinking we would create abundance. The point being made is that you can use the same resources now at your disposal to create abundance; it just requires a different mindset.

Which mindset will you allow to live and which will you allow to die? The only way to create abundance is to think, spend less and invest more.

Life Application: Make a concerted effort to invest more of your time, money and relationship towards the attainment of the future you want to see. 

Prayer: Lord, help me to be wise and deliberate in my use of time and resources. In Jesus name, amen.
