Psalms 107:15 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
If you look back over the course of your life, the consistent thread that you will see is that God has always come through, even if he has not always done it the way you have wanted. Celebrate
Psalms 107 recounted several times in the past when the people of Israel were faced with difficult circumstances but each time they cried to God he delivered them out of their distress. First it recounted that while they were in the wilderness they were hungry and thirsty and they cried to God and he led them into a land of abundance. Secondly, it highlighted the season when because of their own disobedience they found themselves in captivity and as they cried to God in their distress; he broke the bands and restored them to their land. It also recalled the time when plagues came upon them for their rebellion but as they cried to him, he sent his word and healed them and delivered them from destruction. The point the psalmist was making is that God has always come through. Because God has always come through it concludes in each instance by saying oh that men would praise the Lord for his wonderful works among the children of men.
In looking back, it was easy for the children of Israel to see the bad times, but the bad times all ended with victory. I am sure it has been no different in your life; God has always come through. In light of this there are two things that are required of you. First, never forget to praise him for his wonderful works in your life. Second, face every difficult circumstance that you might be facing today with expectation that he will deliver. After all, he has always come through.
Life Application: Look back today at all the adversities you have overcome and celebrate what God has done.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for all the challenges that you have turned into victory on my behalf. I praise you for your consistency and your divine intervention in my life. You are great and marvelous. You are faithful. In Jesus name, amen.
