Isaiah 10:27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

It is the anointing that will bring you the victory that you are looking for. Therefore, depend more on the anointing by showing your faith in the word of God through your obedience. It is that faith and obedience that will trigger the anointing.

Because of the disobedience of the Israelites, it was prophesied by Isaiah that they would be taken into captivity by the Assyrians in Isaiah 10:5-6.  He went on to declare further that among those that would be taken captive a remnant will be freed to return to their land.  On that matter, God emphasized to the Israelites in Isaiah 10:27 that it is the anointing that would break the yoke. Why was it important for God to communicate this to the Israelites? Having received the promise of deliverance from God, when the captivity came they could have made the mistake of trying to do it in their strength. So God was setting the record straight: it is not your strength that will accomplish it, but rather the anointing that will break the yoke.

Taking action towards the word of God is important because it is evidence of your faith, but never make the mistake of thinking that it is your effort that will bring the promise to pass.  It was certainly not human effort that caused the Israelites to cross an overflowing Jordan River. The River stopped flowing when the feet of the priests bearing the Ark of the Covenant (representing God’s presence or anointing) touched the edge of the water. To prove their faith in what God had said, they took action by following the instructions given. With that God responded by sending the anointing to accomplish what needed to be done. The Israelites could not therefore boost their individual effort, all credit had to be given to the anointing. Depend more on the anointing.

Recognize that the real source of your victory comes through the anointing. Since that is the case, focus less on trying to do it in your strength and more on doing what God says then invoke the anointing upon your circumstances.

Life Application: Focus on attracting the anointing through faith and obedience.

Prayer: Lord, send your anointing to destroy any yoke of bondage in my life. I commit to walking in obedience to your word and precepts. In Jesus name, amen.
