Whatever Your Pursuits, Do It With Wisdom

Daily Devotional

Proverbs 3:19 The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

It is not your naysayers who determine whether you fail or succeed; it is your wisdom.

Proverbs 3:9 tells us that it was by wisdom and understanding God founded the heavens and the earth. The example was set by God to teach us that whatever our pursuits, temporal or spiritual, it should be done with wisdom. The reason that is important is that the success of any endeavour depends on the level of wisdom that is applied. If the decisions made are wise then success will come regardless of how long it takes; however, if the decisions are bad, then failure looms.

The major takeaway from the revelation is  that God’s success in creating the heavens and earth was the result of wisdom. It suggests that it is not naysayers that will determine whether or not you fail or succeed: it is your decision. If you choose to pursue your endeavours with wisdom, then success will come, regardless of what others may say. Saul never thought David stood a chance against Goliath, as he Said David was but a youth and Goliath a man of war from his youth. Nevertheless, David came out on top by putting his confidence in the word of God, which is our wisdom.

Don’t allow what people say to faze you; focus instead on increasing your wisdom

Life Application: Invest time daily growing your wisdom by reading the word of God and tapping it other resources.

Prayer: Lord grant me your wisdom to succeed in this life. May I apply wisdom in every situation. In Jesus name, amen.
