Isaiah 55:10-11 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

God’s word always produces results. In areas of your life where the results are not what they used to be, It is indicative of a departure from the word of God. Reclaim the prior results by going back to the word of God.

God likened His word to the rain and the snow in Isaiah 55:10-11. Whenever the rain and the snow falls, without fail they always create an impact, that of watering the earth. By watering the earth, the rain and snow cause dead or withered things to start showing new life. In addition, those things that were already flourishing start to see expedited growth. Ultimately, the rain and the snow produce a harvest that may either be used for bread or seed that is replanted to produce a fresh harvest.

The analogy between the word of God and the rain and the snow is a reminder to you that if you apply the word of God to your circumstances something will happen. Like the rain and the snow, it is impossible for it to go into any place and not produce a result. Hence the scripture says His words shall not return to Him void. By the use of the word “shall” it is a promise that something will happen and you know that his promises never fail.  Two things happen when we employ the word of God. First, it accomplished what He pleases. Your decision to use the word of God brings Him pleasure. Second, as a direct result of your actions pleasing God; in whatever circumstance you plant His word, it will “prosper” evidenced by his favour and blessings.

The word of God is the only thing you can count on to produce what it says it will. Get back to doing things the way the word of God says.

Life Application:  Remind yourself of what the word of God says concerning your circumstances and go back to doing it just as it says without deviation.

Prayer: Lord, I cling to your word because it is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Guide me through your word. In Jesus name, amen.
