Ezekiel 37:9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

Yes the scripture teaches us to speak life, but life does not come from your own strength, for life to flow you need to get the Life Giver involved.

During Ezekiel’s encounter with God in the valley of dry bones it was only after the bones came together and sinews, flesh and skin came upon them that God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the wind, which represents the Spirit of God, to breathe breath upon them that they may live.   There were two notable observations from this scripture. The first is that God did not instruct Ezekiel to call life until the bones, flesh and skin came together. The lesson that the scripture teaches is to wait until there is a structure before calling forth life. Our typical approach to a dead circumstance is to immediately respond by calling life, but without a structure life cannot flow: there would have been no dwelling place for the breath of God unless the bones came together and sinews, flesh and skin laid upon them. Therefore, to create life in your dead circumstances, start by removing disorder and creating a structure by applying the laws and principles of God to create the appropriate structure.

The second notable observation was that God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the wind; Ezekiel’s focus was directed towards the Spirit of God or the Life Giver. The principle being taught was to get the Life Giver involved.  It is not enough to prophecy life as life cannot flow unless the Life Giver is present. It was only when the Spirit of God came into man in the Garden of Eden that man became a living soul. So was it in the valley of dry bones, it was the Spirit of God that caused life to flow. The main takeaway from this is that as you prophesy life over your circumstances; do all that is necessary to entertain the Life Giver as it is His breath that causes life to flow.

It does not matter what your dead circumstance is, life can flow again. Apply the word of God to remove disorder and then speak life while entertaining the presence of the Life Giver.

Life Application:  Bring back life to your circumstances by doing exactly what the scripture prescribes by staying connected to the Spirit of God.

Prayer: Lord, it is in you that we live and have our existence. Without you, there is no life. So, I position myself to receive life in my dead circumstances. In Jesus name, amen.
