Luke 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Believing God that the impossible is possible is at the foundation of giving birth to your miracle.

Mary believed the Lord for her miracle even though what she was told never made sense initially. She was told by the Angel in Luke 1:31-33 that she would conceive and bring forth a son and she should call His name Jesus. In addition, it was made known to her that He would be great, and He would be called the Son of the God: and the Lord God would give unto him the throne of his father David. These additional details were given to Mary to point out to her that Jesus would be the Messiah or promised one. Mary in response asked the Angel how would her conception be possible, since she has never had intimacy with a man. The Angel explained to her that her conception would be of the Holy Ghost to bring to her attention that her birth would be a virgin birth. When the angel was finished speaking, Mary’s response was be it unto me according to your word. What Mary was doing there was declaring the fulfillment of the word of God over her own life. She believed the word and responded by speaking the word of God into her life.

Learning from Mary, there are three things that you should do to give birth to your miracle. Mary was given the great responsibility of giving birth to the Saviour of the world. By no means was this any minor assignment; it was a great responsibility. She responded by believing the word of God and then spoke it over her life. From there she followed the instructions she was given by God to give birth to her miracle. She was exemplary in that she showed that she could be trusted with the word of God. Mary’s response is a lesson to all of us as to how we can give birth to our miracle; it involves three steps: Believe the word of God; constantly speak it over your life; and, do what His word says.

In the same way that Mary gave birth to her miracle, you can do so too.

Life Application: Choose to believe the word of God and speak it over your life, then be diligent to follow every instruction given by the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Lord, I choose to believe your word concerning me and will consistently declare them over me, until they come into fruition. In Jesus name, amen.
