Bible Verse

Matthew 14: 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

The secret to turning your impossible situations into possibilities is to walk out on the word of God; focus on doing just that.

Matthew 14:25-31 tells the story of Peter walking on the water. It records that in the fourth watch of night, between 3 am and 6 am, Jesus approached the ship that his disciples were in, walking on the water. The disciples grew fearful as a result of this strange occurrence and concluded that it was spirit that was coming towards them. Jesus sought to quell their fears by telling them that it was “Him”. Peter responded to say Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. Jesus said come and Peter started to walk on the water. Walking on the water seemed impossible to onlookers but Peter did it simply by walking out on the word of God.

The impossible becomes possible when we step out on the word of God. Peter walking on water was only one of many examples recorded in scripture where the impossible was made possible. Water turning to wine at the wedding of Cana was impossible, but it became a reality when the servants filled the pitcher with water as the word of Jesus said (John 2:7). After toiling all night and catching nothing, a large catch seemed like it would not happen, however, Peter and those with him had one of the largest catches they had ever seen by stepping out on the word to cast the net on the right side of the ship (John 21:6). What all these examples have in common is that at the beginning they seemed completely impossible; however, as the bible characters walked out on the word of God, what started out looking like it was impossible became their reality. Why would it be any different for you? Make your impossible situation possible by stepping out on the word of God.

Life Application:

Miracles were seen in the lives of people in the Bible when they stepped out on the word of God; receive your miracle by promptly doing what he instructs you to do.

Prayer: Lord, absolutely nothing is impossible with you. You are able to do exceeding abundantly above all that I can think of even imagine. I will step out in faith on your word even when my situation seems impossible. In Jesus name, amen.
