Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

In what area of your life do you need a breakthrough? We are in a time when the Lord of the breakthrough is breaking through in finances, ministries, businesses, health situations and relationships. Expect your breakthrough. Jesus showed up on the scene for the man who needed a breakthrough for his son who was possessed with a dumb spirit (Mark 9:14-25). The situation was dire as the demon would often cast the boy in the fire and water to destroy him, so unless something was done immediately, the man could lose his son. The problem is that he had failed so many times in the past to get his breakthrough that he doubted whether even Jesus could do it. He said to Jesus “if thou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us.” Jesus seeing his doubt said “all things are possible to them that believe”. Having heard that, the man raised his faith and got his breakthrough.

There were two things that the man did to get his breakthrough. The first is that he went out in pursuit of his breakthrough. The breakthrough will not come to you, you will have to go out and get it. The man could not simply just stay home and see his son delivered, so he went out in pursuit of his miracle. It was while he was doing that he got the attention of Jesus. Your pursuit of your breakthrough will get the attention of Jesus. The second thing that the man had to do was to look past his past failures and believe that God will do what was needed.  Like the man, past failures could keep you doubting your breakthrough, but choose to believe God’s ability over your past failures. The man cast doubt aside and believed in God’s ability and got his breakthrough.

Don’t miss out on your breakthrough. Be aggressive in your pursuit.

Life Application: Get your breakthrough by stepping out in expectation and choose to believe God over your past failures.

Prayer: Lord, I step out in faith on your word and thank you in advance for my breakthrough. In Jesus name, amen.
