Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Do not put any limitations on yourself or let anyone else put any limits on you: Matthew 17:20 declares that “nothing shall be impossible with you”. Yes we know that nothing is impossible with God, but that was not the subject of the conversation in this scripture. Jesus, having done the impossible, wanted his disciples to know that similarly nothing shall also be impossible with them. What is it that you or others have previously said was not possible for you to do? Whatever it was, based on the word of God it is not truth. Are you going to believe what you or others have said or the word of God? His words are truth so choose to believe what His word says: nothing shall be impossible with you.
You do not need big faith to do big things. The scripture said if your faith is small as a mustard seed; a mustard seed is very small. There is nowhere in the scripture where there is a requirement to have big faith to do the impossible. Therefore, even if you deem yourself to have small faith, it is enough to do the impossible.
The only condition that the scripture states that we must meet to be able to do the impossible is to have mustard seed faith. A key characteristic of the mustard seed is that it is firm. Once your faith is firm in that you believe and not doubt, whatever impossible situation you are believing God for, will be done. When you have firm faith in the God of the impossible he will make the impossible possible for you.
Life Application: Maintain firm faith in God and accomplish the impossible by constantly speaking aloud what you want to see. What you hear is what you will believe and what you believe is what you will do.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for being a God of the impossible and for also removing all limitations on us as well. I will walk in faith and declare a thing and watch it being established through you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
