Isaiah 6:1&5 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple…. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
The best way to make things happen in your life is to see God. It is not possible to see God or get a revelation from the Holy Spirit without being in a place where God can reveal himself to us. When Isaiah saw God in Isaiah 6, something happened. What happened was that the glory of God was revealed. Isaiah saw His train or glory filling the temple. Recall also that when Moses saw God’s back part, it was at that moment that he saw God’s glory. When we see God we can expect His glory to be revealed.
The second thing that happened when Isaiah saw God was that he saw himself. After he saw God high and lifted up, he said in Isaiah 6: 5 ”woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips”. Isaiah saw himself when he saw God. When we get a revelation of who God is, it is only natural for us to see ways in which we have fallen short.
Another thing that happens when we see God is that Salvation and deliverance will manifest in our situations. This was most certainly the experience of Zacchaeus. The day that he saw Jesus, salvation came to his house in Luke 16:9 “. Additionally, when the Canaanite woman saw Jesus in Matthew 15, her demon possessed daughter was delivered that very day.
One more thing that we can expect to happen when we see Jesus is that we will get answers to life’s problems. Abraham got the answer to his problem in Genesis 17 when God appeared to him. It was then that he was told that his wife who was previously barren would give birth to a son at ninety (90) and his name should be called Isaac. What is it that you want to happen in your life? Seek him till you see Him and he will show you what to do?
Life Application: Make things happen in your life by daily seeking God until you see Him. Practice this by scheduling time daily to meet with Jesus through prayer and worship.
Prayer: Lord, show me your glory. I want to see you high and lifted up so that I will also see myself and what needs to change. Show me who you are as I stand in awe of your greatness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
