Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

What is the number one thing that you and I can do to better position ourselves to receive God’s blessings, favor and promises into our lives? We must please him by faith. It should be observed that the one thing that all the greats of the Bible, who were mentioned in Hebrews 11, had in common is that they all pleased God through their act of faith. And because they did, God released His blessings and promises into their lives.  The takeaway  from the experience of the greats is that if we want to receive what God has in store for us we must please God by stepping out by faith and He will do what he said he would do

There are two (2) ways in which we can bring God pleasure with our faith. The first is that we must believe that God will do what He has promised or that which we ask of Him.  In making the point, the scripture said that “he that cometh to God must believe that He is”. God is not trying to be something that He is not, He is everything that we need Him to be. If we need a deliverer, He is. If we need a healer, He is. If we need a provider, He is that as well. Whatever we believe God to be, He will be that to us. Sarah was barren and stricken in age, but she believed God that she would give birth and she received strength to conceive. Despite how things might look, believe that God is able to do it.

The second thing that we can do to please God with our act of faith is to do whatever He instructs us to do despite how absurd the instruction might sound. The scripture says, “he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”. What the scripture is saying is that when we seek God by faith to do what He instructs us to do, He will reward us with what He has promised. At the time when God told Noah to build the ark, it had not rained on the earth prior to that. It was a crazy instruction. Nevertheless, Noah carried it out by faith and his action pleased God and God rewarded him such that only he and his family were saved from the flood. Every time that you step out by faith and please God, expect Him to unlock heaven and reward you.

Life Application: Please God  and receive what God has in store for you by faith  by believing that God is able to do what you need Him to do and carry out His instruction even if it sounds crazy.

Prayer: Lord, I know that you are the God that is able to do exceeding abundantly above what we may ask or even imagine. Increase my faith in you so that I can walk in confidence every day knowing that you will do what you said you will do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
