Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Not because you haven’t yet seen it, means that it is not already done. In Genesis 22 when God told Abraham that he would multiply his seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand that is by the seashore, he had already done it in the heavenly realms. The same was also true with regards to his seed possessing the land of Canaan, it was a done deal. What we must recognize is that anything that God speaks is first done in the heavenly realm before it is manifested on earth. It is for this reason that the scripture says in Matthew 6:10 thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. What scripture suggests is that God’s will, which includes His promises for our lives, is already done in heaven and all that is left is for us to manifest it on earth.
Since we know that God’s will is already done in heaven, what must we do to manifest it on earth? To begin with, we must make it a practice to pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven; this was one component of the model prayer that Jesus taught his disciples. Daniel applied this principle in Daniel 9, by praying for the promised return of the Israelites back to their land, after the seventy years in bondage was almost at its end.
The second thing that we must do to manifest what God has already done is to act like it is already done. There are two ways that we can act like it is already done is by seeing yourself already possessing what God has promised. Additionally, we must talk about what God has promised as if it is already done.
God wants his promises and purpose for our lives to be manifested on earth, position yourself to receive it.
Life Application: Manifest what God has already done by talking about it as if it is already your reality and see yourself already in possession of it.
Prayer: Father, you are the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. As a result everything that could ever happen is already done. May we walk in your promises knowing that you have already done it. In Jesus’ name, amen.
