Proverbs 16:3 commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
It is your decisions that primarily determine your success. That is an important reminder as we are often carried away with blaming the weather, the economy, current circumstances or other people for our failures. Instead we should accept full responsibility. SInce our decisions primarily determine success or failure, where we are today is a culmination of the decision we have made to this point. By blaming someone else and something else you are saying they must change; You may wait a lifetime and never see it happen. By taking responsibility, you give yourself power with the acknowledgement that you are the one that needs to change primarily by positioning yourself to make better decisions.
Proverbs 16:20 says “he that handleth a matter wisely shall find good”; By choosing to make wise decisions from this point on you will find the that things in your life will be aligned according to his purpose.
Life application: Make wiser decisions by, enquiring of God and following His instructions, enlisting a mentor, creating a wisdom counsel and adding to your knowledge and understanding.
Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me to make wiser decisions in my life. Help me also to take responsibility for the decisions I have made. Help me to seek your wisdom when making decisions. In Jesus name, amen.
