“If you paint in your mind a picture of bright and happy expectations, you put yourself into a condition conducive to your goal.”

Genesis 13:17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

So many people talk about what they would do if…if circumstances were different I would live differently. If I made more money, if my boss wasn’t such a jerk, if I won the lottery. When we use excuses to turn the focus outward we automatically fail. The fact of the matter is that any version of life we desire is within our reach. But the key is, it is within your reach. You need to get there yourself. No one else is going to do it for you.

To realize uncommon success, it is important not only to get up and take action, but also to operate as if there are no limits. God gave Abraham two instructions after Lot departed from him. The first was to lift up his eyes, which meant raising his expectations. What you receive will be limited by your expectation.  The second instruction was to arise and walk through the land in the length of it and the breadth of it. The essence of that instruction was for Abraham to get up and take action. Understand that your success will not come and sit in your lap, you will have to get up and go for it. By telling Abraham to walk the length and breadth of the land, what God was suggesting to Abraham was that in taking action, he should operate as if there are no limits. There were Canaanites living in the land, so Abraham would have felt limited in what he could do and where he could go, but in the midst of that God was telling him to operate as if there are no limits. He is saying the same thing to you today; regardless of your circumstances, step out by faith and start operating as if there are no limits. That is how you will realize uncommon success.

Life Application: Take time to plan your next steps with a belief that all things are possible.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to live my life without limits. Help me to see beyond what I consider limitations and see all the possibilities. In Jesus name, amen.
